Dafuzz, you commented earlier that what I envision is impossible- or at least that's how I interpreted your 'nope' response. I saw it as a refusal to embrace the possibility that better relations between players and corporations are possible.

Now I haven't been around very long, but it looks like you have a lot of people here on the forums who think you're a pretty chill guy regardless of who belongs in which corporation. Do you honestly feel that it would be better if those people hated you instead?

Would you describe yourself as the member of the 'old guard' I mentioned? Filled with bitterness and hate to the extent that they no longer consider open communication to be either viable or desirable? Isn't there some part of you that sees this as a truly sad state of affairs?

I've barely posted on this forum before, waiting and getting my bearings in the EVE world and meta-world, and already I'm being called a fakeposter. Honestly, it does make me feel sad. I know EVE is described as being a sort of cold, dark world, but it's also totally open-ended. We can bring some warmth into it if we choose to.

When you think about it corps and alliances in EVE Online are quite diffrent from most (all?) other games. There might be guilds in that FOF - sword - slinging - troll - and - goblin online world, but, it is a game where you can never loose anything but time. There are no emotions on the space ship you fly in EVE like there are in par example WOW where you can jump up and down and wave etc. If you fly up to someone at a gate in X-7 then creamster will shoot without saying hi. There are no ways to show that you are friendly to the ships around you. I do believe that will help once we can walk around in stations and maybe go to the pub and play games like blackjack and poker with ISK. I for one can not wait until someone loose a titan in eve-poker. When it comes to the cold distance a lot of that is language related. Also that various corps and alliances have different goals makes the distance bigger. However, I do believe it helps to talk about it, so I give you this dreaded wall of text.
